Senior Developer for a client in Luik.

Description

As a Senior Developer, you will report to the IT Software & Planning Manager and collaborate with a team of developers. Your role involves managing, developing, and maintaining in-house applications, while actively participating in global maturity increase and SDLC improvement.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical feasibility studies and contribute to functional analysis.
• Design and document solutions comprehensively to ensure development work aligns with specifications.
• Support the decomposition of work into stories to optimize workload planning across the team.
• Design, maintain, and improve development standards for team enhancement.
• Implement and improve applications according to specifications.
• Collaborate with Architects, Infrastructure, and Operations colleagues to optimize solutions while maintaining high standards and security.
• Prepare technical documentation for developed programs to assist IT colleagues.

Required Profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science.
• 5 to 10 years of hands-on software development experience with exposure to API development and legacy Cobol applications.
• Mastery of software development processes (SDLC), methods, and trends.
• Excellent skills in data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving, with the ability to apply design patterns in architecture.
• Full-stack development experience and Agile software development management experience (Delphi, .Net, etc.).
• Proficient in French and fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a collaborative team.
• High standards in documentation, unit testing, code reviews, test automation, continuous integration & deployment, and a preference for agile methods.
