Business Applications Procurement Manager

Division:

Join the IT Purchasing Team within the Supply Chain Department. This team is responsible for sourcing all group non-payroll spend and is part of the Finance Division with headquarters based in Brussels. The Supply Chain Department is organized around three main streams:

• IT Purchasing Team: Focuses on purchasing software, hardware, cloud (SAAS, PAAS, IAAS), outsourcing, Telco network, Cyber security, etc.
• Indirect Purchasing Team (non-IT): Handles facilities, contractors, consultancy, data vendors, etc.
• Governance Team: Manages processes, policies, and control activities for the procurement function, including intra-group and extra-group outsourcing and adaptation to new regulatory aspects.

The IT Purchasing team aims to assist stakeholders in realizing their digital transformation programs by capturing needs and developing sourcing category plans. These plans are deployed using differentiated sourcing approaches to meet business and strategic objectives. The team ensures a safe supply chain for customers, stakeholders, and suppliers through due diligence and acts as a trusted advisor by bringing insight from individual knowledge and collective intelligence best practices.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Contribute to identifying and developing the vision and strategies to support long-term IT objectives concerning Business Packages/Applications activities.
• Develop and update the related category sourcing plan in collaboration with the business and other experts, focusing on efficiency and savings opportunities.
• Lead and manage sourcing activities, including RFP redaction, stakeholder management, offer analysis, negotiations, contract setup, risk assessment guidance, etc.
• Work within the Business Application area with potential supervision of buyers for extension activities.
• Share experience and vision with Supply Chain teams and stakeholders to foster a continuous improvement philosophy.
• Collect feedback from stakeholders, detect unaddressed needs, and identify collaboration opportunities by raising awareness of sourcing/supply chain risks.
• Adhere to and contribute to the key values of the IT Procurement Team: autonomy, responsibility, collaboration, fun, and respect.

Required Qualifications:

• Over 10 years of experience in the IT Business Applications industry with proven experience working with senior management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the industry, including players, trends, drivers, TCO components, strategies of major players, and operating models.
• Solid track record in major negotiations around business packages and cloud solutions.
• Ability to autonomously tackle all types of sourcing requirements and provide global and pragmatic recommendations adapted to the project context with minimal guidance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to deliver immediate actionable information combined with visionary long-term thinking.
• Strong organizational awareness and sensitivity.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of post-trade market infrastructures (e.g., CSD).
• Relevant experience with Agile operating models and frameworks.
