For a client we are seeking a PKI & Crypto Policies Expert.

Role Overview:

The PKI & Crypto Policies Expert will be a technical security expert responsible for designing and maintaining complex security solutions. The role may involve leading and coaching colleagues from a technology standpoint within the Cryptography team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and update PKI and Cryptography policies and procedures to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated with industry cryptography algorithms and protocols to design modern and future-proof solutions (PQC, FIDO2, TLS, ZKP, RFC, etc.).
• Collaborate with business owners to identify and define PKI and Cryptography policy needs.
• Provide consultancy to certificate owners and key custodians on the implementation of PKI and Cryptography policies.
• Responsible for the design and architecture of PKI & Cryptography solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert in the PKI & Cryptography domain.
• Become the application owner of one or multiple products or technologies.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of industry best practices and standards in PKI and Cryptography (NIST, BSI, ANSSI, FIPS, RFC, DORA, etc.).
• Understanding of security concepts typical to Cryptography and PKI (e.g., Root and Issuing CAs, Certificate and Key management, HSM, and smart cards).
• Experience with the design and implementation of Public Key Infrastructure.
• Proficient in (m)TLS, S/MIME, FIDO, and other Cryptography protocols.
• Familiarity with NIST 1800-16, WebTrust, and FIPS 140-3.
• Knowledge of hardware key containers (HSM, smart card, TPM, etc.).
• Experience with Certificate Authority software (Microsoft, Nexus, or EJBCA, etc.).
• Proficiency in cryptographic libraries (OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle, MS CNG, pyca/cryptography, etc.).
• Ability to integrate on different technology stacks (Windows, Linux, C/C++, .Net, Java, etc.).
• Knowledge of Git.
• Platforms: Linux & Windows OS.
• Understanding of the 7 layers of the OSI model.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
