IT Security Architect Position

Role Overview:
The IT Security Architect will support the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in managing and organizing the cybersecurity strategy and its implementation. The role involves ensuring that digital systems, services, and assets are adequately secured and protected. The candidate will plan and design solutions according to security-by-design principles, focusing on infrastructure (Cloud and On-Premise), systems, assets, software, hardware, and cybersecurity controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, implement, communicate, and maintain cybersecurity goals, strategies, and policies.
- Provide support in building cybersecurity vision, strategy, and policies.
- Develop and implement cybersecurity plans and architecture models based on security-by-design and privacy-by-design.
- Document and specify architecture models.
- Coordinate secure development, integration, and maintenance of cybersecurity components.
- Support security reviews of architectures.
- Advise on implemented architecture for maintaining security levels.
- Collaborate closely with other teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A university degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to reason abstractly across multiple domains.
- At least 10 years of demonstrable experience in key architecture roles within ICT projects.
- In-depth expertise in Security, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Cloud services.
- Extensive experience with Azure Cloud Security and SIEM implementations.
- Experience in developing reference architectures.
- Skill in identifying and assessing alternative solutions and formulating recommendations within a broad context.
- Conceptual knowledge of BPMS, microservices, application containerization, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Conceptual knowledge of database management and infrastructure-related architectural principles.
- Strong communication skills, flexibility, and ability to present complex topics in an accessible manner to diverse audiences.
- Experience within a government context is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in similar cybersecurity architecture and design projects.
- Any certification in the field of IT architecture is an asset.
Prerequisites:
- Possess or ability to obtain accreditation at Secret (National and EU) level. A security clearance is mandatory for this position.
- Integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats and trends.
