Mainframe Developer 

Description:

Join our agile mainframe team, where you will be responsible for technical analysis, development, component testing, bug fixing, and support of our mainframe/CICS application. 

Tasks:

• Collaborate closely within the agile team to deliver optimal solutions in various contexts.
• Interpret requirements and translate them into high-quality development, adhering to guidelines for quality, best practices, budget, and scope.
• Develop software using Cobol V5 on IBM Z/OS mainframe.
• Understand the technical architecture and re-use technical components.
• Document the software developed.
• Provide occasional second and third-line support.
• Actively contribute to the agile way of working.
• Perform analytical work, technical implementation, and quality assurance testing.

Profile and Experience:

Profile:

• Senior level with accuracy and solution-oriented approach.
• Ownership and commitment in sprints.
• Communicative and a team player.
• Hands-on mentality.

Experience:

• Significant experience (5+ years) in Cobol programming.
• Expertise in IBM mainframe, CICS, VSAM, Batch, RDZ, JCL, SDSF(2).

Languages:

• Dutch: Very good knowledge, both speaking and writing.
• French: Basic understanding and speaking required.
• English: Very good knowledge, both speaking and writing.
• German: Not applicable.

Practicalities:

• Own device necessary; office connection is made via Citrix.
• Homeworking allowed with a minimum of 2 days per week on-site.

• Start date: As soon as possible.
• Duration of the assignment: More than 1 year.
• We are looking for someone willing to strengthen the existing team for a longer period.
