Senior IT Transversal Scrum Master

Mission Context:

The Scrum Master is a pivotal role in projects utilizing the Scrum methodology within an agile framework. The individual will ensure comprehensive understanding and application of the methodology by the project team, maximizing project outcomes while shielding the team from internal and external distractions. The Scrum Master will coach the project team, business lines, and stakeholders on effective interactions with the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Retrospective) and other meetings.
  • Schedule and monitor key steps of the methodology.
  • Ensure smooth application of the Scrum methodology and assist the project team in overcoming obstacles.
  • Provide support to the Product Owner regarding the Product Backlog.
  • Assist the team in delivering the Definition of Done (DoD), Sprint Backlog, etc.
  • Track team capacity and velocity metrics for planning and progress purposes.
  • Coach and challenge the project team to promote self-organization.
  • Remove barriers to team effectiveness and protect the team from outside distractions.
  • Act as an ambassador of agile methods within the organization.
  • Report to superiors on the deployment of the Scrum methodology within projects.

Language Requirements:

  • Dutch: Sound knowledge of English and at least one local language.
  • French: Sound knowledge of English and at least one local language.
  • English: Sound knowledge of English and at least one local language.

Telework Expectation:

50% on-site and 50% homeworking.

Required Experience/Knowledge:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of agile reporting and follow-up tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Understanding of automated unit testing, automated functional testing, and continuous integration tooling.
  • Sound knowledge of software development and project management methodologies.

Business Experience:

Expert knowledge of agile methodology and techniques (e.g., Kanban) is preferable.
