Service Description:

The client is on a path to becoming a data-centric organization. Various activities linked to balancing are organized, such as the conceptual evolutions of the products, the operation of the services, and the publication of key data related to balancing. To support these activities, the client is looking to strengthen the MES team by hiring a Data Steward for data related to Balancing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gain a deep understanding of business processes underpinning balancing data, and thoroughly document them.
• Define, implement, and oversee data quality rules for monitoring balancing data.
• Conduct in-depth root cause analysis in response to data quality issues.
• Propose and coordinate corrective actions and long-term solutions to structurally improve data quality.
• Act as a key support to the Data Owner, contributing to the evolution of data-driven products and services.
• Drive the transition from IT-led to business-led data products, ensuring the business takes ownership of high-quality, timely, and reliable data delivery.
• Collaborate within cross-functional teams (business and IT) to co-create and deliver value-added data products.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in engineering or a technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Data Steward or in a similar role.
• Analytical mind to tackle complex problems in a simple and structured way.
• Proven experience in SQL, Python, or analytical tools.
• Fluent in Dutch or French and can communicate fluently in English both orally and in writing.
