Subject Matter Expert Infrastructure (WebSphere)

Role Description:

We are looking for an IBM WebSphere ND & IBM Liberty senior engineer to manage the WebSphere ND legacy infrastructure and facilitate migration to an IBM Liberty private cloud offering. As a service-minded technology referent, your mission will be to maintain a transversal legacy WebSphere infrastructure and build the transition towards an IBM Liberty cloud offering, alongside a team of technology engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Guide a team of technology experts in providing day-to-day run support and realizing deliveries in line with the technology roadmap.
• Collaborate with internal customers, service providers, and APS teams to provide standardized production support.
• Build and maintain environments, work on projects with infra suppliers, architects, vendors, and the team to create a vision for a future-proof platform.

Working Environment:

• Work in a team mostly based in Belgium and collaborate with a service supplier in France.
• Utilize Agile/Scrum as a method of organizing work.
• Operate in a hybrid model, working 50/50 from home/office.
• Occasional travel outside Belgium (to France) and working outside business hours may be required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in managing IBM WebSphere (WAS traditional BASE and Liberty v20> (Core, Base)).
• Extensive experience with Apache Tomcat, Java-based applications, TLS/SSL, Red Hat Linux, scripting, pipeline, and networking technology.
• Proficient in monitoring JVM performance.
• Familiar with security processes, Agile way of working, ITIL, Continuous deployment, Disaster Recovery.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible Tower, Java, CaaS, ServiceNow is a plus.

Language Proficiency:

• English: Perfect
• French: Recommended
• Dutch: Nice to have
