Vacancy: Azure Databricks Engineer

For a customer in the Aalst region, we are looking for an experienced Azure Databricks Engineer with a strong background in data engineering within the Azure ecosystem. You will participate in setting up, optimizing and maintaining data platforms, with a focus on performance, scalability and integration.

Responsibilities
o Designing and developing scalable data pipelines in Azure Databricks
o Integrating different data sources via Azure Data Factory
o Building and optimizing data models for Power BI dashboards
o Automating data flows and ensuring data quality and reliability
o Collaborate with data analysts, BI specialists and other IT teams
o Thinking about the architecture of the data platform and applying best practices
o Troubleshooting and improving existing ETL processes

Requirements
o Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a data engineer within Azure environments
o Thorough knowledge of Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Power BI
o Experience with PySpark or Scala is a plus
o Good knowledge of SQL and data modeling
o Strong analytical ability and an eye for detail
o Being able to work independently in an agile environment
