We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join an operational team responsible for managing a 24/7 critical infrastructure environment. You will be involved in managing complex LAN/WAN environments and supporting data center and cloud-connected infrastructures. The mission includes both project delivery and day-to-day operational support in line with ITIL best practices.
Manage and maintain network and security infrastructure:
Cisco Nexus, F5, Infoblox, Meraki (SD-WAN/LAN/WLAN), Checkpoint Firewalls & VPN, Ivanti, etc.
Focus primarily on LAN/WAN components during the initial stages of the mission.
Support incident and problem resolution in a 24/7 data center and enterprise environment.
Deliver and support projects related to WAN/LAN/WLAN, data center, and DevOps.
Collaborate with peers in both Run & Project environments.
Automate administration and operational tasks using scripting tools (e.g., Ansible).
Ensure consistent network availability, performance, and security within agreed SLAs.
Maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
Provide knowledge sharing, support, and guidance within the team.
5+ years of experience in LAN/WAN environments
Solid hands-on experience with:
Cisco Meraki, Cisco Nexus (VXLAN is a plus)
Checkpoint, F5, Infoblox
Network Security Equipment (firewalls, reverse proxies, IDS/IPS)
VPN technologies (e.g., Pulse)
Storage and backup infrastructure
Cloud networking knowledge (Azure, AWS, etc.)
Scripting tools such as Ansible
Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management
Autonomous, structured, and proactive
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Team-oriented, but capable of working independently
Able to follow and enforce internal procedures and documentation standards
Experience with coaching or mentoring is a plus
Native-level Dutch or French, with a good understanding of the other national language
Professional English is mandatory
