Role Description:
As a Data Governance Specialist, you will lead the Data Governance stream to define and support the deployment of data product frameworks and guidelines across the organization. You will collaborate closely with end users, senior management, and the Chief Data Officer (CDO). Your role will involve orchestrating functional guidelines and recommendations on Data Products, considering business and regulatory requirements. You will actively contribute to the development and execution of the data management strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Establish enterprise data governance standards and guidelines (quality, semantics, modeling, regulation frameworks) on data products to ensure data quality integrity, protection, regulation compliance, and data product interoperability.
- Translate enterprise data governance standards on data products into policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the overall rollout of data product standards and guidelines with CoE managers and Senior Management.
- Act as a change management ambassador on standards and guidelines, serving as a point of escalation for governance, quality, integrity, protection, interoperability, and data compliance issues.
- Collaborate with Business, IT, and data stakeholders to enhance the overall value of data products.
Language Requirements:
- Dutch is a plus
- French is a plus
- Proficient in written and spoken English
Education:
Preferably a degree in IT engineering or computer science with a successful experience in data governance, data quality, data analytics, business intelligence, data lake, etc.
Required Experience/Knowledge:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Technical experience with Data Mesh principles (data products, data product contracts, data product specifications, metadata harvesting)
- Familiarity with Enterprise Data Management Tools
- Preferable experience with Project Management/Planning Tools and Agile methodology
- Preferable experience in the financial industry
