Project Security Support Specialist in Industrial Cyber Security
Location: Brussels
Responsibilities:
Actively participate in process and technology improvement initiatives, including knowledge base development, lessons learned, internal improvement projects, and knowledge transfer.
Manage and track activities to enhance the security of industrial projects.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all personnel involved in projects, particularly IT system owners.
Collaborate with IT system owners and subject matter experts to design and validate best practice security solutions for industrial system projects.
Oversee project deliverables, capture risks and escalations, and monitor scope and budget.
Capture weekly project status, including completed and planned activities.
Provide proactive communications and regular project management reports to IT Management and the project Steering Committee.
Qualifications and Experience:
Strong background in security is essential.
Solid experience in IT networking is required.
This is a senior-level Subject Matter Expert (SME) position, not a project management role.
Ability to steer and facilitate discussions effectively.
No strict requirement for years of experience, but candidates should realistically meet the skill and experience expectations.

Experience in managing projects, which inherently involves managing people.
Excellent communication skills in English and French.
Ability to build bridges and trusted relationships across various IT stakeholder groups.
Solid general understanding of cybersecurity.
Knowledge of how defense in depth is applied in practice.
Critical thinking skills for reviewing documents and assessing and challenging project content.
