Mission Description:
Business architecture is crucial in aligning strategic objectives with operational capabilities. It acts as a blueprint outlining the business structure, including processes, information, and systems, ensuring coherence and efficiency. By bridging the gap between strategy and execution, business architecture translates high-level strategic goals into actionable initiatives. This alignment optimizes resource utilization, fosters agility in responding to market changes, and identifies opportunities for innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Define the target Business Architecture of CMS in line with the vision/strategy set by CMS Department management, including defining required Business Capabilities organized in Business Capability Maps.
- Elaborate and implement the Information Strategy within the CMS Department:
- Identify and define Data Domains and assign Data Owners.
- Define Conceptual Business Information models using standard toolkits.
- Determine required Business Capabilities to implement the target Information Architecture.
- Identify business products and data products.
- Contribute to/lead decision-making via business architecture activities at all organizational levels, supporting capability-driven steering and priority setting with capability heatmaps.
- Lead initiatives to define and validate Architecture Blueprints in collaboration with Domain and Solution Architects, involving Business Stakeholders and Business Analysts.
- Ensure alignment of the (target) CMS Business Architecture with other departments (Assets, Strategy, Infra, CDO office, IT).
- Align IT architecture and IT roadmap with Business Architecture and Business Roadmap.
- Actively contribute to refining Architecture methodologies, frameworks, tools, and trainings.
- Participate in necessary meetings to ensure the implementation of targeted business and data architecture.
- Stay updated on the latest developments.
Requirements:
- A degree in civil or commercial engineering or a master's degree in a scientific discipline.
- Proven senior experience (more than 5 years) in business and information architecture in a similar role.
- Service-oriented with a focus on ensuring continuity.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Solid knowledge of defining a Business Architecture framework and communicating effectively with different stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Domain Driven Design (DDD).
- Solid understanding of Software Integration Patterns, Platform technologies, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Data Meshes for effective interaction with IT colleagues.
- Experience in UML, BPMN, and Archimate is essential.
- Systemic mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Initiative-taking, independent work style, and ability to coordinate transversal initiatives.
- Fluent in French and/or Dutch, and English for international collaboration.
