Azure Cloud Engineer for Data Infrastructure

About the Role:

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you are responsible for setting up, configuring, and managing a robust and scalable Azure cloud environment, specifically focused on data infrastructures and platforms. You will work closely with Data Engineers, DataOps teams, and Solution Architects to provide a stable and secure foundation for data analysis, storage, and processing.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Azure environments to support data solutions such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, etc.
• Set up cloud resources via Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Ensure availability, security, scalability, and performance of the data infrastructure.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines for the automatic deployment of infrastructure components.
• Support DataOps and Engineering teams by proactively setting up monitoring, logging, and error handling for data workflows.
• Ensure compliance with best practices around cloud security, access management (IAM), network segmentation, and resource governance.
• Guide migrations or implementations of new Azure services within the data environment.

Your Profile:

• Strong experience with Azure platform services (e.g., VNet, Key Vault, Monitor, Storage, Databricks, ADF).
• Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
• Knowledge of network and security configurations in Azure.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Familiarity with data workloads and data engineering concepts (preferred).
• Independent, communicative, and able to translate data team requirements into scalable cloud solutions.
