Azure Cloud Engineer for Data Infrastructure

About the Role:
As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you are responsible for setting up, configuring, and managing a robust and scalable Azure cloud environment, specifically focused on data infrastructures and platforms. You will work closely with Data Engineers, DataOps teams, and Solution Architects to provide a stable and secure foundation for data analysis, storage, and processing.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Azure environments to support data solutions such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, etc.
- Set up cloud resources via Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
- Ensure availability, security, scalability, and performance of the data infrastructure.
- Integrate CI/CD pipelines for the automatic deployment of infrastructure components.
- Support DataOps and Engineering teams by proactively setting up monitoring, logging, and error handling for data workflows.
- Ensure compliance with best practices around cloud security, access management (IAM), network segmentation, and resource governance.
- Guide migrations or implementations of new Azure services within the data environment.
Your Profile:
- Strong experience with Azure platform services (e.g., VNet, Key Vault, Monitor, Storage, Databricks, ADF).
- Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
- Knowledge of network and security configurations in Azure.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Familiarity with data workloads and data engineering concepts (preferred).
- Independent, communicative, and able to translate data team requirements into scalable cloud solutions.
