GIS Analyst Position

Start: August

Location: Mechelen

Responsibilities:

• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements using "use cases" and "user stories" for projects and/or "change requests".
• Challenge requirements to ensure no important requirements are missed.
• Ensure requirements lead to generic, sustainable, future-oriented, maintainable, and user-friendly IT solutions.
• Contribute to and share knowledge of the application landscape architecture.
• Act as a liaison and coordinate with business and technical stakeholders, keeping the end-to-end solution in mind.
• Collaborate with, manage, and/or coach offshore vendors/contractors when applicable.
• Assess and validate required capacity/effort to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Monitor the quality, consistency, scalability, and development of applications to optimize utility and costs.
• Present proposals for improvements and support efficient prioritization of the backlog.
• Develop sustainable solutions in line with application philosophy and/or possibilities for "commercial off-the-shelf" (COTS).
• Write and maintain coherent IT processes, requirements, documentation, scripts, and/or knowledge management.
• Implement chosen solutions through application setup and report development.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in translating business needs into IT solutions.
• Strong knowledge of application landscape architecture.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience in managing and coaching offshore vendors/contractors.
• Ability to assess and validate project capacity and effort.
• Proficiency in monitoring and optimizing application quality and costs.
• Experience in writing and maintaining IT documentation and processes.
