Mission Context:

An Agile Coach is responsible for guiding teams and individuals in adopting the agile way of working. The goal is to facilitate a culture change that ensures sustainable and successful implementation of agile methodologies. The coach aims to make the team or target group self-coaching and proficient by the end of the engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide teams and individuals in implementing the agile operating model by assessing their maturity and knowledge to determine suitable techniques.
  • Motivate employees to embrace agile values and behaviors.
  • Actively participate in operational meetings, monitor methodology quality, propose tailored work processes, and make recommendations.
  • Lead change management efforts, including organizing training, mentoring, and individual coaching as needed.
  • Customize training materials and documentation to simplify learning and implementation.
  • Ensure optimal knowledge of methodologies used within the entities or target groups.
  • Collaborate with fellow agile coaches to propose, discuss, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Facilitate and coordinate agile ceremonies such as squad, tribe, and guild meetings.

Language Requirements:

  • Dutch: Mother tongue or sound knowledge
  • French: Mother tongue or sound knowledge
  • English: Sound knowledge of English and at least one local language

Education and Certification:

Certification in one or more methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean, Safe, Less, DA, DevOps.

Required Experience and Knowledge:

  • Proven experience in a complex organization for at least 10 years.
  • Experience facilitating groups and leveraging team dynamics.
  • Experience as a trainer is preferable.
  • Vast experience in coaching is preferable.

Business Experience:

  • Squad Dynamics (including Agile Ceremonies, Backlog Management, Requirement Definition)
  • E2E Management (Correct slicing in all levels of work, E2E roles Product and Delivery ownership roles)
  • Agile Governance (Product Board, Refinement & Delivery Board, Tribe Improvement governance)
