Senior Business / Functional Analyst - Aviation Network Operations

Location: Belgium

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for new aviation IT systems.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis of existing processes and applications to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Develop comprehensive documentation of conceptual business requirements and detailed functional requirements to clearly articulate business needs.
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and IT solutions, providing clarification and guidance as needed.
• Contribute to and review the design of application user interfaces to ensure usability and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful implementation of IT projects within scope, timeline, and budget constraints.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in aviation IT to proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Experience in aviation-specific domains such as capacity optimization, demand forecasting, and resource allocation is particularly valuable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable deliverables.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience with greenfield business analysis, contributing to the development of brand new applications.
• Expert knowledge and proven experience with model-driven structured analysis techniques, including business process modeling, logical data modeling, business rule specification, business service specification, and use case analysis.
• Profound understanding of Domain Driven Design concepts, specifically strategic design, is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, as well as experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) is a plus.
