Data Modeler Job Description

Project Context:

• A new enterprise data warehouse is being developed to consolidate data from various core systems, including CRM.
• All reporting will be managed via a central data platform currently under construction.
• The client is focused on structured, consistent data consolidation and is intentionally avoiding a data lake setup.

Responsibilities:

• Model and structure data from multiple systems into a unified and coherent data warehouse.
• Ensure alignment and standardization across key data fields, such as ensuring the “client name” field is consistent across systems.
• Define and maintain data standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners involved in the platform development.
• Present and defend data modeling decisions to senior management, including C-level stakeholders.

Profile:

• Proven experience as a senior data modeler or similar role in complex data integration projects.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices.
• Strong track record working with data from multiple systems, ideally in the financial services sector.
• Confident communicator with the ability to explain and justify modeling choices to non-technical and executive audiences.
• Fluent in French and English.
