Job Description:

The project focuses on the development of a new Geographical Information System (GIS) platform to replace an outdated system. GIS is used for managing geographical information of the electrical network and assets, combined with various layers such as roads, buildings, and waterways. The project includes several tracks:

• Migration Track: Transfer of geographical data and master data from the legacy system to the new GIS platform and master data system.
• Interface Track: Building and coordinating interfaces with various master data systems.
• Technical Track: Developing and configuring the GIS platform, executed by an external supplier.

The project manager is responsible for the end-to-end coordination of the different tracks and teams, successful delivery of artifacts, and implementation of changes within operational teams. Reporting is done to the program manager and the business owner.

Requirements:

• Preferably an engineering or master's degree with IT affinity.
• At least 10 years of experience in successfully delivering medium to large IT projects in complex environments.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch or French; notions of the other national language are an asset.
• Experience with GIS systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of project methodologies.
• Willingness to establish a clear structure within tight deadlines.
• Coordination between different tracks and monitoring of budgets.
