IT Team Lead

A unique opportunity has opened up within a dynamic international insurance company focused on the acquisition of life insurance businesses. To support ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced IT Team Lead to manage and coordinate a team of Life Insurance Analysts and Developers. This team is responsible for the support and operations of UL3, a key life insurance policy administration platform.
In this role, you will lead the delivery of system enhancements, integration solutions, and automation initiatives around the UL3 platform, while ensuring the team operates efficiently and effectively. The position involves close collaboration with local management and other IT stakeholders.
Lead, coach, and manage a team of IT analysts/developers responsible for life insurance systems.
Act as Scrum Master for life insurance-related projects.
Oversee workload planning, task prioritization, performance evaluation, and career development.
Manage the installation, configuration, and release planning of UL3 software and add-ons (e.g., Isabel, DCL).
Support and coordinate development of automations and interfaces between UL3 and other systems (e.g., MS Office, accounting software).
Lead the design and maintenance of reporting tools generating outputs in DB, XML, CSV formats, etc.
Supervise scripting tools and small application development in support of internal operations.
Provide ad hoc development and technical support across project workstreams.
Collaborate with group IT to support infrastructure and network installations.
Minimum 10 years of experience with life insurance industry systems.
Strong exposure to software development lifecycles (SDLC) and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Object-Oriented Programming – ideally Python).
Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies; Jira expertise and Scrum Master certification/experience is a plus.
Professional fluency in French and English; Dutch is a plus.
Familiarity with UL3 policy administration system and asQit scripting language is a distinct advantage.
