Cloud Engineer Position

Location: Antwerp

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain the infrastructure for fast, stable, and secure websites.
• Take ownership of operations and improve system architecture.
• Support developers with cloud and automation expertise.
• Communicate and provide support in case of issues with the web hosting environment.
• Document work thoroughly and take a structural approach to resolving instability.
• Support development teams with cloud infrastructure expertise.
• Align infrastructure closely with development teams.
• Stay updated with trends and developments in web hosting, DevOps, and the Cloud ecosystem.
• Participate in an on-call rotation after the onboarding period.
• Spot improvements, solve complex problems under pressure, and ensure cost efficiency.
• Contribute to a future-proof platform that aligns with company ambitions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and automation.
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS or Azure.
• Experience in web hosting environments and managing complex, high-traffic websites.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with both Linux and Windows environments is a plus.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
• Solid understanding of networking and CI/CD, ideally GitLab CI.
