IT Strategy Architect

Location: Brussels

Start Date: 01/09/2025

End Date: 31/12/2026

Mission Context:

The IT Strategy team is expanding and requires additional support in coordination and communication. Key focus areas include cloud evolutions, obsolescence management, API governance, data product adoption, and updates to IT Architecture rules and principles. Success will be measured by increased impact, scope, and credibility.

Function Description:

The ideal candidate will:

• Support the IT Strategy team lead in overall project portfolio management.
• Prepare for several transversal Initiative Boards.
• Analyze budget preparation exercise.
• Assist in critical thinking, research, analysis, communication, and change management.
• Define and follow up on action plans for complex topics (e.g., clarification of requirements, coordination of contributors, dashboarding, follow-up to closure on-time).
• Gather input from various stakeholders (e.g., SME, architects, IT strategists, product owners) to deliver slide decks for upper management (right messages, tone tuned to audience, visually polished).
• Maintain up-to-date views on the department budget and actuals, and follow up on the department’s action backlog.

Language Requirements:

Proficiency in English and active knowledge of at least one of French or Dutch.

Telework Expectation:

50% on-site and 50% homeworking.

Required Experience / Knowledge:

• 5+ years of experience in IT Strategy Formulation and Implementation, Strategic Planning, IT Project and Program Planning and Management, and Change Management.
• Experience in delivering projects and working with IT managers such as CIO, CTO, head of Architecture, and CISO.

Key Skills Expected:

• Ability to understand and navigate the decision-making context (organization, structure, key roles and processes, main stakeholders, etc.).
• Ability to work with IT managers and senior IT Architects to collaboratively design the expected deliverables.
• Ability to perform retrospectives and lessons-learned analysis to improve the impact of the IT Strategy team.
