Data Solution Lead
Location: Brussel
Role Summary:
The Solution Lead will serve as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions, acting as a citizen developer. The role involves defining, developing, and maintaining tools and dashboards, primarily using Power BI, to support data-driven decision-making. Initial data sources include SAP and SharePoint lists, with potential for expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and translate business needs into actionable requirements.
- Design and implement data collection and analytics tools.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, initially using SAP and SharePoint lists.
- Document technical specifications for IT handover and maintenance.
- Manage development backlogs and prioritize tasks.
- Support change management and adoption of new data practices.
Major Accountabilities:
- Confirm feasibility of requirements and manage change requests.
- Develop tools and processes for data generation and management.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Power BI tools and dashboards.
- Write technical documentation and manage access rights.
- Collaborate with the Project Core Team and act as SPOC for IT stakeholders.
- Guide Data Experts in data investigation and validation.
- Handover tools and dashboards once standardized.
- Support the definition and setup of Enterprise Asset Management systems.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including demos and training.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Certifications in Power BI, Business Intelligence, or Project Management are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant role.
- Knowledge of EAM tools is advantageous.
Competencies:
- Strong data analytics and visualization skills.
- Expertise in Power BI and SAP analysis.
- Basic coding knowledge (e.g., VBA, PowerApps).
- Familiarity with SharePoint and business process understanding.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Problem-solving and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
