For a client we are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager.

Job description:
As a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of strategic projects related to the modernization of IT infrastructures, with an emphasis on mainframe decommissioning and migration to modern solutions. You will work closely with external providers, internal teams and business stakeholders to ensure the success of projects.

Main Missions:
Management of the mainframe decommissioning project: evaluation of the existing one, definition of migration steps, implementation of a roadmap and monitoring of milestones.
Coordination of internal teams and providers, risk management and service continuity assurance.
Migration and modernization of databases: steering the migration of databases from legacy systems to PostgreSQL.
Collaboration with a service provider company: supervision and assurance of the smooth running of external services, definition of SLAs, monitoring of KPIs and guarantee of the quality of deliverables.
Use of AI tools for code modernization: implementation of AI solutions for legacy code translation to modern code, compliance with current development standards.

Required Skills:
Proven experience in managing complex infrastructure projects.
Thorough knowledge of mainframe systems and migration strategies.
Expertise in PostgreSQL, including administration and optimization.
Experience in managing IT providers and contract monitoring.
Understanding of AI tools applied to code modernization.
Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.

Profile:
Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in managing complex IT projects.
Experience in mainframe decommissioning and database migration.
Appetite for new technologies and AI applied to development.

Languages:
Fluency in Dutch, French and English.
