Business Analyst
Location: Brussels
Project Duration: 15/09/2025 - 31/12/2026
Role Description:
The Business Analyst will be part of the Testudo squad, supporting and maintaining a central data store used for various purposes within the Risk & Credits tribe. Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and profiling the data model to enhance and support database users.
- Defining mapping/transformation rules for data conversion.
- Assisting developers to ensure correct implementation of specifications.
- Testing developments and ensuring successful implementation in production.
- Supporting data stewards in monitoring data quality.
- Providing second or third-line support to users within the back office, reporting teams, and the Risk department.
Language Requirements:
- Dutch: Fluent/good in speaking & understanding, basic/good in writing (required at least for either Dutch or French)
- French: Fluent/good in speaking & understanding, basic/good in writing (required at least for either Dutch or French)
- English: Fluent in writing, good in speaking & understanding
Education:
- Graduate or college (university) degree preferred
- Focus on mathematics in education or professional experience
Required Experience/Knowledge:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience in a squad developing a database
- Proficiency in SQL and functional/technical analysis
- Medium to expert knowledge of MS tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Testing capabilities and preferable programming notions
- Experience with Oracle or Sybase IQ, Informatica ETL, and Linux
Business Experience:
- Experience with credits and supporting a development squad in an agile environment
- Experience in a large company/complex business environment
- 2 to 3 years as a business analyst or in functional analysis
- Expertise in data analysis, requirements documentation, testing
- Preferable credit risk knowledge and experience with EU regulation on credit or credit risk (MCD, Basel III, etc.)
- Economics and/or mathematics background
