For a client, we are seeking a Test Automation Engineer with extensive experience in Python.

The role requires one day per week on-site in Brussels. Proficiency in Dutch/English or French/English.

Context:

Within the Digiflow project, we are building and optimizing automated processes for handling incoming documents and mails. Currently, we utilize AWS AI services for document recognition and data extraction. The next step is to expand and specialize in the Azure AI stack. We are looking for a Python Engineer/Specialist with strong expertise in Python and testing. This person will collaborate closely with the Post-In team and external partners to further set up, extend, and industrialize our AI solutions. Testing is also a key area we want to improve, so this role combines AI development with test engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Actively contribute to the design and implementation of AI-driven solutions in Python and the Azure AI stack.
• Collaborate with internal Post-In team members and external partners to set up Azure AI components and ensure smooth integration with AWS-based solutions.
• Challenge user stories to ensure they are ready for development (definition of ready).
• Contribute to a clear definition of done and ensure alignment within the team.
• Set up and maintain automated testing (unit, performance, smoke tests, monitoring).
• Estimate the high-level impact of new requests.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable Python code.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Support the team in daily operations (D2D activities) for applications in their scope.
• Option to evolve into a technical lead and/or Scrum Master role.

Profile Must-have:

• Strong expertise in Python development (5+ years of experience).
• Solid experience with automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with AI/ML development using AWS and/or Azure AI services.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Ability to take ownership and lead technical topics.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).

Nice-to-have:

• Cloud Experience

• Familiarity with Azure AI stack (Cognitive Services, Azure ML, Document Intelligence).
• Experience with AWS AI/ML services.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proactive, result-oriented, team player with an eye for quality and detail.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of Dutch and French is a plus.
