Mission Context:

Join our Data Governance team as a Data Operations Engineer, where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of data pipelines, workflows, and data governance systems. This role involves close collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to maintain data quality, integrity, and availability.

Responsibilities:

• Data Pipeline Operations:
  • Manage and maintain Linux-based data pipelines for efficient and accurate data flow.
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts for automating data processing, transformation, and loading.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to optimize workflows and improve data quality.
• Job Scheduling and Release Management:
  • Plan and execute releases with the planning team to minimize disruption.
  • Monitor job execution, analyze logs, and troubleshoot failures to ensure data integrity.
• Incident Management:
  • Identify and respond to data-related incidents to minimize operational impact.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and improve data quality.
  • Document incident details, resolution steps, and lessons learned.
• Data Management:
  • Manage databases, run queries, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to enhance data governance and quality.
  • Develop and maintain data quality checks for accuracy and integrity.

Required Experience/Knowledge:

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics.
• Strong background in Linux system administration, scripting, and data management.
• Experience in job scheduling and release management.

Preferred Experience/Knowledge:

• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with mainframe systems for data transfer and integration.

Soft Skills:

• Analytical thinking for troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
• Effective communication with stakeholders to meet data needs.
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing data requirements and priorities.

Language Requirements:

• Fluent in English.
• Dutch or French is a plus.

Telework Expectation:

50% on-site and 50% homeworking.
