Role Description:
We are looking for a Data Privacy & Ethics Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering data privacy and ethics services, including:
- Conducting assessments of data privacy and ethics-related risks in various contexts such as projects, outsourcing initiatives, and existing solutions.
- Creating detailed or synthetic reports on risks, structured and formulated in accordance with group standards and best practices.
- Proposing and validating risk mitigation measures.
- Providing advisory and consultancy services related to data privacy and ethics.
- Managing data subject rights requests and supporting the organization in handling potential incidents, such as personal data breaches.
- Delivering awareness, training, and communication support.
- Developing and delivering data governance support for various initiatives.
- Ensuring adherence to enterprise data governance, quality, modeling, and regulation frameworks.
- Serving as a point of escalation for governance, quality, integrity, protection, and data compliance issues.
- Collaborating with business and functional area leadership to improve the quality and value of core data assets.
- Supporting AI regulation-related requests.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A Master’s degree in Law or Engineering. Candidates with other academic backgrounds with substantial knowledge of analytics are also encouraged to apply.
- Certification as a Data Protection Officer (GDPR) is an asset.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Technical experience is mandatory, with excellent skills in using Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience in process definition and writing (e.g., ARIS), Archer eGRC tool, Rally - Agile, and SharePoint.
- Mandatory business experience in risk assessment/management, compliance, or audit.
- Global awareness of data protection and privacy principles (GDPR).
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Experience working in cross-functional departments and teams.
- Solid experience in business/functional analysis in an enterprise environment and change management.
Language Requirements:
- Dutch: Native or Fluent
- French: Native or Fluent
- English: Fluent (The candidate must be able to write documents and have interactive meetings in French or Dutch, and English).
