Senior Product Owner for Developer Platform & Application Security (AppSec) Team

Start Date: Preferably mid-October

Duration: Until the end of the year, with a high potential for extension

Office Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (average of 50% on-site)

Role Description:

As a Product Owner, you will lead the roadmap and strategy for CI/CD, developer platforms, and application security. Your mission is to enhance the developer experience by aligning technical initiatives with business goals and ensuring secure, efficient development workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate strategic plans into team OKRs
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters and stakeholders
  • Drive CI/CD and AppSec strategy and roadmap
  • Ensure security and compliance of pipelines
  • Oversee integration of developer platforms (e.g., Backstage)
  • Identify automation and process improvement opportunities
  • Track KPIs and delivery progress
  • Collaborate with Cloud & Infrastructure teams
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder alignment
  • Lead a team of 10 engineers with diverse expertise

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within software development

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SDLC and CI/CD
  • Experience with GitLab, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, SonarQube, Backstage, Jira
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Confident and dynamic personality who adapts quickly and thrives in team environments
  • Ability to challenge constructively and lead a technical team
  • Fluent in English

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with React, Node, WireMock, Playwright
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted SDLC
  • Familiarity with telco environments
  • Familiarity with offshore development teams
  • Dutch language skills
