BI Project Manager

On-site Requirement: 3 days per week in Brussels center

Role Overview:

We are looking for an Agile BI Project Manager to join the Smart Data Factory (SmDF) team. The role involves ensuring adherence to Agile principles and the Scrum framework, delivering BI data products incrementally with each sprint. The Project Manager will oversee scope, timing, budget, risks, and ensure alignment with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• BI Project Management:
  • Engage with business stakeholders to define priorities, roadmap, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with Digital stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and governance compliance.
  • Initiate projects by defining scope, estimating timelines and costs, planning resources, and aligning stakeholders.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of BI data products, ensuring high quality, on-time, and on-budget execution.
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and proactively address issues.
  • Communicate project status, progress, and key decisions through various forums and structured reporting.
  • Ensure all data products are documented according to SmDF standards.
• Agile Facilitation:
  • Lead Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Ensure adherence to Agile practices and rituals.
• Team Support:
  • Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress.
  • Shield the team from external disruptions.
  • Foster the development of an Agile mindset and continuous learning within the team.
  • Lead the development team, promoting a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of proven experience in Agile/Scrum project management.
• Skilled in preparing and maintaining project documentation.
• Familiarity with BI tools and data concepts (e.g., Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, SQL).
• Proficient in Azure DevOps (or similar tools).

Desired Skills and Certifications:

• Hands-on experience as a Data Analyst, Data Modeler, BI Developer, or Data/Analytics Engineer.
• Active knowledge of SQL.
• Scrum Master certification.
• Project management certification (PMP, Prince 2…).
• Previous experience in the Energy sector or with ESG or HR expertise.

Language Proficiency:

• Native speaker of French or Dutch.
• Good understanding (reading and listening) in the other national language and in English (B2 or higher).
