UI/UX Designer

Role Description:
As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for translating concepts into intuitive and high-quality user flows. You will create user-friendly and visually appealing screens, balancing usability, accessibility, and overall satisfaction to bridge the gap between user intent and business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Design all flow paths and screen states with a quality, goal-oriented outcome.
- Gather input from stakeholders on user needs and technical feasibility.
- Seek inspiration from best-in-class examples both in and outside the financial sector.
- Ensure intuitive information hierarchy at screen level.
- Design high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.
- Follow up on user feedback gathered during usability tests.
- Collaborate intensively with a dedicated UX copywriter to ensure smooth content integration.
- Actively use and contribute to the design system: mobile native & web Mobile First.
- Contribute to the UXUI community of practice, sharing best practices and co-creating patterns, standards, and guidelines.
- Lead the refinement phase of the project and support the concept designer with visual support in the ideation phase.
- Deliver prototypes and pixel-perfect screens, hand them over to development squads, and follow up on their implementation with front-end developers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Mobile First mindset with familiarity in mobile native design, including Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines.
- Agile knowledge and comfort with the Scrum development cycle.
- Accessibility mindset with good knowledge of WCAG guidelines.
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma and Zeplin.
- Experience with design systems and component creation.
- Understanding of the technical impact of designs; a background in front-end development is a plus.
- Proficient in documenting work and developing briefs for researchers and developers.
- Proficient in French or Dutch (C1-level) and a good understanding of English (B1/2-level).
