Senior Engineer Cloud & Authentication
Job Description:
- Design and implement medium to large size features (projects) end-to-end within your domain or cross-domain.
- Improve processes and frameworks, and build solution building blocks.
- Coach associates and engineers, acting as the go-to person for one or more technologies.
- Evangelize and research new innovative technologies, introducing them to the team.
- Use and combine knowledge of your discipline and the market to formulate the right approach.
- Apply engineering standards, principles, guidelines, and frameworks (performance, security, re-usability, scalability, sustainability, DevSecOps).
- Design and deliver medium to large size features related to different system components, including analyzing, designing, coding, and testing systems.
- Own the production operation and monitoring of the system, being aware of its SLAs.
- Ensure stability, continuity, and performance of the systems under your responsibility.
- Design and implement secure systems end-to-end with a focus on automation, test integration, and reliability within the DevOps mindset.
- Create proofs of concept and develop conceptual models of new problem domains.
- Optimize the integration with infrastructure and specify eventual infrastructure needs.
- Challenge and validate code, taking into account programming standards, security guidelines, and (non) functional requirements.
- Ensure correct production in different environments.
- Be available in case of incidents and perform permanence-on-duty when requested.
- Recognize and surface risks/unknowns, keeping in line with bigger picture goals.
- Validate the technical documentation.
- Encourage teamwork, take responsibility, steer newcomers, and have a clear view of actions related to goals.
- Challenge and improve team processes.

Job Skills:
- Good knowledge of authentication protocols (OpenID Connect, SAML) and MFA (TOTP, FIDO2, etc.).
- Good knowledge in Identity Access Management (IAM) & RBAC (Role-based Access Control).
- Application onboarding: analysis, implementation, documentation & follow-up.
- Identity Governance: User Lifecycle Management (LCM) & role-modeling in line with standards and policies.
- Good knowledge of automation through workflows and scripting (Python).
- Authentication & Authorization policies enforcement in compliance with strict security guidelines.
- 3rd line support & incident management.
- Solution design and management of backend integrations.
- Follow-up of audit recommendations.
- Good communication and networking skills.
- Regulatory compliance follow-up: DORA, NIS2, CRA, etc., plus CISO requirements/implementations.
- KPI reporting and automation.
- Development skills using Visual Studio (C-sharp or Visual Basic), SQL statements.
