Test Engineer

Job description:
As part of a modernisation project, we are looking for an expert Test Engineer with more than 10 years of experience. The focus is on drawing up and implementing an agile operational test plan, taking into account the context (cloud, APIs, zero trust, micro services, etc.). The aim is to guarantee the quality of our solution.

Responsibilities:
Developing and adjusting a test plan.
Functional testing: validating business logic, data integrity and E2E testing of user flows.
API testing: validating API contracts and testing functionality, performance, security and compatibility.
Integration testing: testing interaction between microservices and external systems.
Security testing: focus on authentication, authorisation and encryption.
Performance and scalability testing of microservices and APIs.
Developing and maintaining automated test suites in CI/CD pipelines.
Setting up monitoring and logging within different environments.

Required qualifications and experience:
Degree in computer science from a recognised European college or university.
10 years of hands-on experience testing software solutions.
5 years of experience with cloud (native) software solutions, preferably Azure Cloud.
3 years of experience with TDD and monitoring tools such as GRAFANA.
5 years of experience with test automation and Java SE.
Experience with API test frameworks, UI test frameworks, and tools such as BRUNO and CYPRESS.
Experience with unit, regression, integration, performance, stress and load testing.
Experience with version control, pull requests and code quality tools.
Experience with E2E testing and security testing.
Experience with build tools such as MAVEN and integration of tests in CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with contract testing, mocking and service virtualisation.
Experience with NoSQL databases and working within agile delivery teams.
Ability to propose alternative solutions and formulate recommendations.
Good communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable skills:
Experience with design/definition and development of APIs.
Experience with development and integration of microservices.
Experience with software design (cloud, API, microservice, event).
Experience with event-driven architecture and systems.
Knowledge of Event-Driven and/or Behavioural-Driven Development.
Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design.
