Job Title: Senior Compliance Officer

Location: Brussels (50% onsite)

Project Duration: ASAP – 31/12/2025

Responsibilities:

• Draft Data Protection Policies: Lead the development of data protection-related policies, including data retention, data subject rights, tokenization, and testing. Coordinate with stakeholders to identify organizational gaps, gather input, and produce policy drafts.
• Support Impact Assessment Reviews: Assist the team in reviewing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Balancing Tests, and Transfer Impact Assessments. Evaluate residual risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Contribute to Training Development: Help design and develop training programs and content related to data protection.
• Monitor Regulatory Developments: Assess the impact of new regulatory updates, such as EDPB guidelines on legitimate interest and cookies, and translate them into actionable insights for the organization.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in compliance, specifically in data protection.
• Strong understanding of data protection regulations and guidelines.
• Ability to evaluate risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Experience in developing training programs.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency in drafting and implementing data protection policies.
• Familiarity with regulatory developments and their implications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Language Proficiency:

Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
