For a customer we are looking for a Part-Time Data Protection Officer.

Period: 01/11/2025 – 31/12/2025, with option to extend
Location: Brussels
Part-time (2 days onsite / 1 day remote)
Language skills: Dutch and / or French (with passive knowledge of the second national language) + English

Tasks and responsibilities:
Identifying points for improvement in existing processing agreements and DPIAs.
Drawing up a template for DPIAs for further use within the organization.
Analyzing initiatives and giving advice on the need for (adjustment of) DPIA.
Drawing up new DPIAs and processing agreements.
Conducting in-use verifications for which a first DPIA has been drawn up.
Drawing up a priority schedule of documents to be supplied.
Conduct checks on the conformity of processing activities of the organization and its partners.
Preparing answers to questions from supervisory authorities.
Develop and implement quality management plans to meet required standards.
Report to the program manager on document progress.
Follow-up of changes in applicable regulations (Belgium, Europe).

Training, experience and competences:
At least ten years of hands-on experience as an expert in data protection within an IT technical domain.
DPO certification.
Experience with systems and programs for project monitoring and knowledge management.
Good communication skills.
French or Dutch as a mother tongue, with strong passive knowledge of the other language.
Self-starter with a critical eye.
