Business Analist

For a customer we are looking for a Business Analyst.

Period: 01/11/2025 – 31/12/2025 with option to extend
Location: Brussels
Regime: Full-time 
Language skills: Dutch and / or French (with passive knowledge of the second national language) + English

As a Business Analyst within the ANPR team, you will be responsible for conducting analyzes and translating the needs for further stabilization of the ANPR system. This includes initiatives ranging from functional developments to software upgrades and the different use of existing solutions and material. You structure all initiatives in a clear approach, with an eye for feasibility, budget, dependencies and return on investment (ROI). You facilitate communication with external suppliers and build good cooperation with internal stakeholders.

Tasks and responsibilities:
Identifying bottlenecks and points for improvement: Investigate the current operation of the ANPR system and identify bottlenecks, risks and possible improvements.
Analyzing and documenting requirements: Translate the collected needs into clear business and system requirements and document them accurately.
Proposals for improvements: Make recommendations for changes in the system or business processes to increase stability, performance and efficiency.
Stakeholder management and bridge function: Fungeer as a point of contact and bridge between the business and the technical teams.
Project planning support: Work closely with the Project / Program Managers and the team in preparing and adjusting the roadmap and planning.
Quality assurance and testing: Monitor the quality and completeness of the analyzes and the solutions made.
Monitoring of implementation and results: Follow the implementation of improvements and monitor their impact on the stability of the system.
Additional tasks:
Vision for the future: Help define the definition and parameters of a stable long-term ANPR system.
Knowledge update and regulatory compliance: Stay informed of new developments in ANPR technology and relevant laws and regulations.

Training, experience and competences:
Experience: At least ten years of hands-on experience in business analysis and / or guiding ICT projects. Proven experience within complex IT environments and government projects.
Methods & Tools: Experience with analysis methodologies and tools such as MS Visio, PowerBI, JIRA / Confluence.
Analytical ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication: Excellent communication skills.
Language skills: French or Dutch as a mother tongue, with a strong passive knowledge of the other national language. Good knowledge of English is a bonus.
Working style: Proactive, result-oriented and structured.
Integrity: Discretion and reliability are essential.
Domain knowledge: Affinity or experience with ANPR systems is an asset.
