As part of the programme to take over the application landscape, we are looking for consultants to strengthen our internal teams.
The programme consists of the overall takeover of the operational management of around thirty business applications in the first phase. These applications are relatively varied from a business and technological point of view.
The takeover activities can be broken down as follows:
o Hand Over/Take Over (documentation, application maintenance, development of new features, etc.)
o Reengineering and/or complete rewriting of applications to bring them into line with current development standards
Languages:
o French or Dutch: expert level
o English: expert level
Essential functional skills
o Business requirements analysis
Ability to gather, understand and challenge the needs of users and stakeholders.
o Drafting of functional deliverables
Clear and rigorous production of functional documents: user stories, use cases, detailed functional specifications, business processes (BPMN, UML, etc.).
o Process modelling
Proficiency in UML, BPMN, Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, ERD, etc.
o Functional testing and validation
Definition of test cases, validation of developments, participation in acceptance testing phases (UAT).
o Product backlog management
Prioritisation of requirements with the Product Owner, maintenance of the backlog, scope management with the project manager.
o Proficiency in FR or NL, and good knowledge of English.
Related technical skills (even if not a developer)
o Reading and understanding code/SQL
Ability to perform functional troubleshooting via simple SQL queries, logs, etc.
o Knowledge of application architectures
Understanding of front-end, back-end, API and database layers and how they interact.
o Proficiency in collaborative tools
Confluence, JIRA, etc.
Soft skills
o Ability to communicate with a variety of people
IT, business, end users, management.
o Critical thinking and ability to challenge requests
Don't just be a scribe, ask the right questions.
o Functional leadership
Supervising or coaching more junior profiles, active participation in product decisions.
o User orientation
Constant focus on ergonomics, user experience, business value.
Expected experience
o Minimum 10 years' experience on significant projects (ideally in regulated, complex or critical contexts).
o Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment (Scrum, SAFe or Kanban).
o Participation in redesign/migration/reengineering projects is a plus.
Bonuses/additional assets
o Knowledge of mock-up tools (Balsamiq, Figma, Axure, etc.)
o Familiarity with ITIL, TOGAF or PRINCE2 standards
Contract and working environment:
o The contract will be confirmed until 31/12/2025 and then renewable for 3 or 6 months.
o Possibility of remote working with a requirement to be on site for a maximum of 2 days per week.
