Job Title: UI Designer

Responsibilities:

• Design and manage components for the Aurum design system.
• Align Aurum with branding guidelines.
• Support fellow designers in utilizing Aurum effectively.
• Ensure accessibility and conduct evaluations based on current standards.
• Write documentation and guidelines for ease of use by designers and developers.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers for mobile and web platforms.
• Launch new ideas and improve processes to enhance Aurum’s impact.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a designer on digital projects, with at least 2 years working with design systems.
• Expertise in Figma, including components, variables, and design tokens.
• Ability to write concise and clear guidelines.
• Portfolio demonstrating systematic thinking, polished UI work, and attention to accessibility for both mobile (iOS & Android) and web.
• Excellent knowledge of accessibility guidelines and ability to perform evaluations at both component and page level.
• Proactive with initiative to suggest improvements.
• Experience with complex digital products and understanding of frontend technologies, either through hands-on coding skills or collaboration with developers.
• Strong communication skills, team player, and ability to justify decisions and convince stakeholders.
• Fluent in Dutch or French in a professional context, with sufficient understanding of the other language. Good spoken and written English skills.
