Solution Architect Position

Mission:

The Application Solutions Engineer is expected to provide solutions architecting functions related to application solution design. This role within Team Applications will be responsible for application and solution designs in collaboration with development vendors. The successful candidate will lead and introduce the overall technical vision and high-level design for specific solutions, finding the best technical solutions to address existing business requirements or problems. They will actively participate in project and line activities, ensuring that application architecture activities and deliverables (both in-house and outsourced) are produced to a high quality and are consistent with existing IT standards, policies, and enterprise governance strategies. The role involves identifying opportunities for reuse and standard patterns for common solutions to minimize overall waste.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in UML and BPMN.
• Desirable understanding of an Enterprise Modelling Language such as ArchiMate.
• Experience with Java, Python, Spring Boot.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT and strong experience in IT Service Management environment.
• Proven and relevant experience working on reverse engineering processes.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Solution Architect functions.
• Proven experience in creating architecture solution visions and high-level application and solution designs.
• Experience working with in-house and outsourced delivery teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal/intercultural skills.
• Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies; CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps, etc.
• Power System Industry experience is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
• ITIL and IT Security Awareness.
