Technical Analyst (Mainframe, COBOL, JCL)
Project Duration: Start November 2025 – End December 2026
Responsibilities:
- Translate (non)functional requirements into analysis for small/medium-sized features related to processes/systems within the (sub)domain, based on solutions designed by the Lead Analyst.
- Coordinate small projects and build domain knowledge in banking/insurance operations, products, and services.
- Understand regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the banking/insurance industry.
- Apply modeling languages/tools for analysis.
- Ensure qualitative solutions using different testing techniques.
- Cooperate in setting up test scenarios with the test team and end users, write test cases, and execute integration testing.
- Suggest and implement solutions for incidents (software, process, administration) and communicate with stakeholders.
- Maintain domain systems to ensure 100% availability and keep systems documentation up to date.
- Design features for a more client-centric or efficient service offering based on domain knowledge.
- Support and cooperate with team members and users to ensure team success.
- Explain processes, software, and tools to end users and enforce current team processes and tools.
- Analyze the impact of changes and provide advice to team members and users.
- Coordinate activities/small projects within the subdomain, including task distribution and progress follow-up.
- Conduct analysis, design, implementation, testing, high-level cost estimations, and task execution.
- Provide detailed and consolidated reporting to stakeholders, including the team leader, and highlight attention points.
- Take initiative and demonstrate a continuous learning and growth mindset.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Solid technical knowledge of mainframe, COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
- Experience in customer data management, referential data management, payment accounts, and distribution management is an advantage.
- Previous experience as a developer transitioning to an analyst role is ideal.
- Ability to translate requirements into analysis for small/medium-sized features and solutions.
- Experience in coordinating activities and small projects.
- Strong communication skills to explain processes and tools to end users.
- Ability to analyze the impact of changes and provide team-level advice.
