Digital Functional Analyst – Business Oriented
Location: Brussels
Start Date: As soon as possible after a period of evaluation and procurement negotiation, typically 15 working days after agreement.
Work Arrangement: On-site with the possibility of working from home 2 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- External Platform Support: Collaborate with a service provider to support the KLIM-CICC platform. Validate member onboarding, initiate, evaluate, and test functional changes and fixes. Coordinate closely with the Service Desk Manager and participate in steering committees for strategic alignment.
- Internal Applications Support:
- Provide support to end-users on production systems.
- Understand and challenge the needs of internal and external customers to define real requirements and propose solutions in sync with the architecture office.
- Analyze functional/business problems and collaborate with the development team to choose appropriate solutions.
- Translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories.
- Create business process and functional system documentation using UML & BPMN artifacts.
- Define domain interface specifications and action plans to deliver user stories.
- Produce and follow-up on test scenarios for system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Review analysis deliverables and act as a single point of contact for functional questions during the development process.
- Execute follow-up on implementation and facilitate estimation and planning sessions.
- Assist in drafting user manuals, release notes, and possibly training end-users.
- Provide recommendations to improve business processes.
Mission Focus:
- Implementing future digital projects related to the inspection and maintenance of transport network infrastructures, quality control of metering equipment, and development of specific tools to support dispatching.
- Supporting and maintaining existing and future tools for the mentioned domains.
General Skills:
- Fluent in Dutch, French, and good knowledge of English.
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
- Teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, adaptability, pragmatic and open-minded.
- Ability to work according to rules, standards, and guidelines defined by the Enterprise Architecture/Security Office.
- Background knowledge of the energy sector and asset management domain is an asset.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to understand and challenge customer needs and formalize derived requirements.
- Good knowledge of UML Business Process Modelling (BPMN) techniques.
- Experience with UI design and providing support to end-users.
- Strong analytical background.
- Fluency in using UML modeling tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect), Agile software development tools (e.g., MS Visual Studio TS), and documentation-communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Confluence).
- Good knowledge of relational databases and ability to write database queries (SQL) on both Oracle and MS SQL Server.
- Knowledge of SAP PM (S/4HANA) is an asset.
