Technical Solution Architect
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Solution Architect to lead strategic architecture initiatives across cross-border business operations. This role will focus on assessing and structuring the technological landscape for cross-border operations, defining future-state architectures for transport systems, and designing a modern data platform and digital services ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise architecture, transport systems, data platforms, and microservice-based product organizations, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and future-proof technical solutions.
Assess and document the current technology landscape for cross-border logistics and transport platforms.
Define scalable, secure, and modular reference architectures for logistics, transport, and digital services.
Lead the design of a modern data platform architecture (lakehouse, data mesh) and define key data products.
Support architecture definition for e-commerce integrations and API-driven digital services.
Create and review technical designs for consistency, scalability, and resilience across domains.
Guide the adoption of microservice- and product-centric architectural patterns.
Provide architectural support for EDA initiatives, including event streaming via Kafka and schema governance.
Work closely with product owners, developers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical architectures.
Collaborate with vendors and remote teams to ensure alignment and cross-functional delivery.
Contribute to architecture governance and quality enablement across teams.
Stay informed on advances in cloud-native technologies, data platforms, and e-commerce ecosystems.
Ensure compliance with data security standards and establish governance practices for APIs and schemas.
Promote architectural best practices across teams and domains.
15+ years in enterprise or solution architecture, with experience in logistics, transport, or e-commerce domains.
Proven track record in designing and implementing data platforms, microservice architectures, and API ecosystems.
Exposure to EDA principles and technologies (Kafka, Avro, schema registry) is an asset.
Experience with AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch); exposure to Azure is a plus.
Strong understanding of product-oriented organization models and domain-driven design.
Experience with API-driven architectures (RESTful APIs, API gateways).
Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS).
Familiarity with data mesh and lakehouse architectures, and data governance principles.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for business stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring and guiding development teams.
Experience with DevSecOps practices and secure software development lifecycles.
Prior experience with logistics, transport, or e-commerce platforms is a strong advantage.
Fluency in French and Dutch is required.
