Senior Architect - Financial Domain

Location: Brussels (on-site 80% is a minimum)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect with a strong technical background and a passion for the financial domain. The ideal candidate will have a robust engineering culture, a startup mindset, and the ability to quickly understand business needs and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements. Proficiency in data architecture, data management, data governance, and big data architecture is essential. Additionally, a strong understanding of the regulations to which banks and insurance companies must comply is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership:
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Drive architectural decisions and best practices.
• Business Translation:
  • Rapidly understand business needs and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document architectural solutions.
• Data Architecture:
  • Design and implement data architectures that support business objectives.
  • Ensure data management and governance practices are followed.
  • Develop and maintain big data architectures to handle large-scale data processing and analytics.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure that architectural solutions comply with relevant regulations and standards in the financial domain.
  • Stay updated with changes in regulations and assess their impact on existing and future solutions.
• Solution Delivery:
  • Oversee the development and delivery of solutions, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure solutions are implemented effectively.
• Innovation and Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in the financial domain.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve existing systems and processes.

• Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong background in software development and delivery.

  • Knowledge of big data technologies and architectures.
• Financial Domain Knowledge:
  • Interest and experience in the financial domain (banking, insurance, asset management).
  • Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
