Senior Release Manager - LAM

Work Regime: Full-time, 2 office days per week
Role Overview:
The Release Manager will be responsible for identifying and managing a series of implementations and interim states to achieve planned outcomes. This role involves driving alignment across all contributing Epics and impacted Tribes/Squads. For the LAM Cluster, this will cover approximately 8 Epics and 5 or more implementations.
Objectives:
- Produce a Cluster Release Plan to achieve committed improvements and benefits.
- Identify and secure stakeholder approval for each Release Scope and Change Impact Assessment.
- Lead the Release Plan, organizing cross-Epic and cross-Tribe resources to deliver on schedule.
- Manage technical Release scope, coordinating with Cluster Test Lead and GTS Change & Release Management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a Release-based view of LAM implementations and Benefits delivery, engaging Business and IT stakeholders.
- Secure Sponsor approval for the overall Release Plan, and each Release Scope and Change Impact Assessment.
- Develop integrated Release Plans, identifying and agreeing on deliverable dependencies across Epics, resolving gaps and discrepancies.
- Identify and manage Release Decisions, Risks, Issues, and Changes through the Epic, Cluster, and Programme governance processes.
- Support the Cluster Test Lead to define the solution build and test approach, aligning with the Cluster Solution Architect and EDOs.
- Support the Cluster Test Lead in the development of the Cluster Test and Release (implementations) Strategy.
- Agree with GTS Change & Release Management on the Cluster implementation schedule and resolve conflicts with other critical implementations.
- Support the Cluster Change Lead in the development of the Release Change Impact Assessment and resulting organization readiness plans and activities.
- Use in-house methodology for the creation of clear and concise documentation to identify Release options and agreement of the Release Plan.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8 years of Project delivery experience leading similar Release and Implementation planning in Financial Services.
- Understanding of Identity Management including access (de)provisioning, role-based access control, joiner/mover/leaver (“JML”) activities, ServiceNow integrations, knowledge of access control models and policies.
- Experience of onboarding applications in an IAM tool.
- Experience in managing end-to-end several projects in parallel with size varying from 300 to 3,000 man-days, in a Programme delivery organization.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to adapt style according to the context and different project stakeholders.
- Expertise in developing the Release approach across transversal Projects or Epics, covering the disciplines of Planning, Estimating, Change Control, Risks & Issues, Resources management.
- Previous experience of outsourced projects management is a plus.
- Strong negotiation and conflict management skills with the ability to influence different levels of management towards project targets.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills (listening, writing, and presenting) at all levels, from staff members to senior management level.
- Affinity with technical domains and experience delivering solutions across different systems architecture, including Windows, Linux, and Mainframe.
- Flexibility to adapt and continuously improve delivery approach.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- PMI or Prince2 Programme delivery in large or complex organizations.
- SAFE, Scrum.
- Understanding of the IAM domain and industry best practice.
- Understanding of Mainframe and RACF.
