Senior Cloud Solution Architect

Role Overview

The Senior Cloud Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering end-to-end architectural solutions that support strategic transformation initiatives. This role bridges business and IT, ensuring that solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards and cloud-first principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Solution Design: Lead the design of high-level architecture for initiatives, ensuring alignment with the enterprise roadmap and regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, delivery squads, and IT teams, facilitating consensus and clarity across diverse groups.
• Architecture Governance: Ensure compliance with architectural standards and escalate deviations to the Design Authority Board (DAB) when necessary.
• Cloud Enablement: Drive cloud adoption by designing cloud-native solutions, coordinating migration strategies, and optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance and cost.
• Lifecycle Ownership: Oversee the full delivery lifecycle—from early ideation through implementation—ensuring architectural integrity and traceability.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Coordinate with other architects (System, Enterprise), product owners, and engineering leads to ensure cohesive solution delivery across squads and tribes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in solution architecture, ideally within financial services or high-throughput transaction environments.
• Strong technical background in cloud platforms (Azure preferred), including CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud security.
• Deep understanding of integration patterns, APIs, messaging standards (e.g., SWIFT), and middleware technologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
• Experience with agile delivery models, including working in cross-functional squads and tribes.

Desirable Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Architect).
• Experience with regulatory compliance and risk management in IT architecture.
