Role Description:
As an Expert Storyteller, you will be part of the Chapter Storytelling within the Marketing & Communication department. You will work in a multidisciplinary team focused on a specific customer segment, following the Agile methodology. Reporting to the Chapter Lead Storytelling, you will collaborate closely with MarCom Managers, Digital Marketing Experts, and the Content Strategist. This is a long-term assignment with an 80% employment rate.
Responsibilities:
- Play a crucial role in transforming the MarCom department, focusing on content strategy.
- Convert briefings into high-value content aligned with content pillars and business objectives.
- Write and optimize content for various channels (articles, emails, social media, videos, scripts, UX copy, etc.) while adhering to tone of voice and brand guidelines.
- Systematically apply SEO/GEO principles using tools like Semrush and Surfer SEO.
- Utilize AI tools to expedite research, content production, and translation across channels.
- Ensure quality and compliance of all texts.
- Collaborate with audiovisual experts to convert texts into videos, carousels, or other formats.
- Work closely with a French-speaking storyteller to translate and adapt texts into Dutch.
- Propose concrete optimizations based on content performance metrics.
- Actively contribute to the Content Factory by sharing best practices and producing adaptable content.
- Ensure legal compliance of content (B2, non-misleading commercial communication, anti-greenwashing).
- Take a leading role in the Community of Practice (CoP) SEO/GEO and assist colleagues in skill enhancement.
Language Proficiency:
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master in communication, journalism, marketing, languages, or equivalent experience.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a copywriter and/or storyteller.
- Must have: Excellent writing skills, ability to create engaging and accessible texts for various formats and channels, proficiency in AI tools for research, writing, and translation.
- Nice to have: Understanding of marketing funnel and Customer Journeys, ability to interpret performance indicators.
Professional Experience:
- Must have: Proven experience in SEO/GEO copywriting and content optimization using tools like Semrush and Surfer SEO, journalistic background, experience in writing thought leadership or accessible technical content.
- Nice to have: Experience in the banking or financial sector.
