What is the scope of the job?
 

  • Understand the current Finance Business Processes, the Transformation Project Scope and how it will drive the ERP technology selection, which involves choosing the best-fit that will support business functions.
  • The ERP system design and configuration, which involves defining the system parameters, the master data, the workflows, and the user roles and permissions, based on the business requirements and the process design.
  • Ensure “the clean core concept” is adopted and market proven solutions are always applied before any system customization which involves modifying the standard system functionality is performed.
  • The ERP data migration and validation, which involves transferring the historical and current data from the legacy systems to the new system, ensuring the data quality and accuracy, and verifying the data consistency and completeness.
  • The ERP testing and quality assurance, which involves verifying the system functionality, performance, security, and usability, and validating the system output and results, using various testing methods and tools, such as the unit testing, system testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing.
  • The ERP deployment and go-live, which involves switching from the legacy systems to the new system, ensuring the system readiness and availability, and launching the system for the live business operations.
  • The ERP stabilization and support, which involves monitoring the system performance and usage, and resolving any issues or defects that may arise, and providing the necessary technical and functional support and guidance to the end-users.
  • The ERP user adoption and training, which involves delivering the appropriate training and documentation to the end-users, and enhancing the user adoption and satisfaction of the new system.

 

What am I expected to deliver, and what are my main tasks?

 

The SAP FICO Analyst is expected to deliver the following outcomes and perform the following tasks:
  • Provide daily support for SAP FICO modules including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and service requests.
Areas to cover:
  • FI – Financial Accounting
    • General Ledger Accounting (FI-GL)
    • Accounts Payable (FI-AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (FI-AR)
    • Asset Accounting (FI-AA)
    • Bank Accounting (FI-BL)
 
  • CO – Controlling
    • Cost Element Accounting (CO-OM-CEL)
    • Cost Centre Accounting (CO-OM-CCA)
    • Internal Orders (CO-OM-OPA)
    • Product Cost Controlling (CO-PC)
    • Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
    • Profit Centre Accounting (EC-PCA)
 
  • Knowledge of integration between FICO and PP, SD and MM

The following areas are a plus:
  • S4 HANA
  • VIM (Vendor Invoice Management)
  • Real Estate Management (RE-FX: Lease Accounting)
  • FSCM: Dispute Management, In-House Cash, Treasury
  • CONCUR
  • BW/BI/BPC
  • ABAP
  • Act as the primary point of contact for finance and controlling users, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Analyse, document, and resolve functional issues raised through tickets, following our processes.
  • Deliver a high-quality and fully-functional ERP system, that meets the Finance business requirements and expectations, and complies with the industry best practices and standards.
  • Deliver a smooth and successful ERP deployment and go-live, that minimizes the disruption to the Finance business operations and maximizes the user adoption and satisfaction.
  • Deliver a stable and reliable ERP system, that performs well and resolves any issues or defects promptly and effectively.
  • Work effectively with the deployment team, which consists of the ERP vendor, the IT&Data team, the Business Process Owners, and the end-users, and ensure their collaboration and coordination.
  • When needed support the Finance ERP Deployment Lead  in delivering the project roadmap defined by the Business Stakeholders and the project team.
 
  • Analyze analytical, financial and treasury reporting changes and align with the Business Stakeholders and project team the necessary activities for implementation.
 
  • Participate in the deployment activities within Finance, which include the system design and configuration, the system customization and integration, the data migration and validation, the testing and quality assurance, the deployment and go-live, the stabilization and support, and the user adoption and training.
  • Validate the technical documentation provided by the implementation partner and the key user training and support the knowledge transfer to the support team.
 

With whom do I need to collaborate to get the job done?

 

The SAP FICO Analyst will need to collaborate with various internal and external parties to get the job done. These include:
  • The ERP vendor, who will provide the ERP software, the technical expertise, and the implementation services.
  • The internal IT&Data team, who will provide the infrastructure, the security, and the integration support.
  • The Finance Business Process owners, who will provide the business requirements, the process design, and the user acceptance testing.
  • The Finance end-users, who will provide the feedback, the data validation, and the user adoption and training.
                               

What do I need to be succesful in this job?


The SAP FICO Analyst will need to have the following qualifications, skills, and competencies to be successful in this job:
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in ERP SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA FICO support and/or implementation, preferably in a FMCG or a multi-national environment.
  • A solid understanding of the ERP software, the FICO business processes, and the industry best practices and standards.
  • A strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve the technical and functional issues related to the ERP implementation.
  • A strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide regular updates and feedback to the stakeholders and the end-users.
  • A strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage the risks, issues, and dependencies related to the deployment, and to escalate them as appropriate, and to implement the mitigation and contingency plans.
  • A strong change management and user adoption skills, with the ability to facilitate the transition and the stabilization of the ERP system, and to provide the necessary support and training.
  • A high level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the project success.
