IT Support Specialist

Location: Antwerp/Brussels

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

Job Purpose:

The Global IT Support role is crucial in bridging global IT teams with local business operations, ensuring the consistent and effective delivery of IT services. This position is responsible for providing high-quality support to end users across devices, applications, and infrastructure—both locally and globally. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day technical issues, coordinating deployment activities, and supporting the adoption of data and AI tools. The role also involves identifying local needs, facilitating communication between teams, and ensuring alignment with global standards and compliance frameworks. While not directly responsible for project management, the individual will monitor progress, escalate issues when necessary, and act as the local representative for global IT coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality IT support remotely and on-site to employees, managing support tickets and resolving issues efficiently according to SLA or directing to the appropriate IT expert teams if needed.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of IT issues within your scope and keep users updated with progress.
  • Manage the Asset Register and the Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) process to ensure accurate device and user data.

Local Tasks:

  • Administer Office 365, Active Directory, and support Windows 10, Windows 11, and macOS environments.
  • Manage MDM, meeting room solutions, and subscription management.
  • Ensure familiarity with main and secondary equipment room patch management, aligning business needs with ISO 27001 or CE+ standards.
  • Act as the local representative of Global IT teams, gathering and communicating updates on local activities, needs, or issues to global IT teams involved in delivery, support, and product expertise.
  • Support infrastructure tasks like the installation of network devices and management servers.
  • Relay messages and updates from global IT initiatives to local teams and vice versa, ensuring alignment and clarity.
  • Support the implementation of large IT programs locally by facilitating communication and ensuring local deployment aligns with global standards and timelines.

Data & AI Adoption Support:

  • Facilitate the deployment and adoption of data and AI tools locally, providing support and basic training.
  • Organize or direct users to existing training resources and sessions.
  • Act as a liaison with the Data & AI Manager within the DSI to relay local needs and feedback.

Skills & Experience:

Core Skills:

  • IT-related qualification or relevant experience with IT support and coordination.
  • Strong understanding of basic IT support diagnosis and analysis.
  • Experience with Office 365, Active Directory, and ticketing systems.
  • Experience with Windows 10, 11, and Mac.
  • Knowledge and experience with Apple Business Manager.
  • Knowledge and experience with Logitech meeting room solutions.
  • Knowledge and experience with Mobile subscription management.
  • Experience with main and secondary equipment room patch management.
  • Some knowledge of ISO 27001 or CE+ standards.
  • Previous experience supporting workspace environments and facilitating deployment activities.

  • Dutch to support local employees.

Location and Working Hours:

The role will be based in Antwerp 2 days a week and Brussels 2 days a week. Working hours are from 8am to 5pm
