Role Description:
We are actively looking for a Datacentre Technician to join the IT/OT Operations Infrastructure team. The objective of this team is to support, maintain, and modernize the IT/OT Operations Infrastructure. The Datacentre Technician will be responsible for executing specific datacentre tasks, including:
- Installing servers, switches, patch panels, and applying copper and FO cabling.
- Participating in the "as-is" and "to-be" cabling documentation, such as maintaining the Configuration Management Database and datacentre layout.
- Ensuring that the datacentre as-built documentation is of high quality, including planning and documenting as-builts for the datacentre.
- Acting as a first-line contact point for the IT/OT Operations Network team to apply changes in the datacentre.
- Participating in datacentre management roles, including rack layout, security aspects, and cooling.
General Skills:
- Ability to follow conversations passively in both Dutch and French (mandatory).
- Passionate about IT/OT Operations Infrastructure technologies.
- Strong analytical reasoning skills for problem diagnostics.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a regulated environment.
Skills & Expertise:
- Expertise in cabling ICT equipment racked in datacentres (e.g., servers, switches, patch panels).
- Structured, precise, and well-organized.
- Proficiency in Windows Office, with basic knowledge of Excel.
- Possession of a "Security Clearance" (ideally, Secret Level).
- At least 5 years of similar expertise.
