Job Title: IT Solution Architect

Location: Vlaams-Brabant

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months (extension possible)

Responsibilities:

• Design, govern, and guide IT architecture across replenishment, transport, and retail logistics platforms.
• Translate business needs into clear and pragmatic solution architectures (patterns, APIs, events, microservices).
• Manage the full architecture lifecycle: requirements, design, decisions, delivery, release.
• Ensure architecture alignment with Finance, Commerce, Master Data, and E-commerce platforms.
• Design scalable, secure, and sustainable supply chain architectures (WMS, TMS, replenishment, data platforms).
• Produce and maintain architectural models, ADR documentation, baselines, target & transition states.
• Participate in design reviews and enforce enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Act as a change agent to modernize the IT landscape.
• Support vendor evaluations, RFPs, and technology assessments.
• Integrate budget considerations and TCO into architectural decisions.

Business / Functional Experience:

• Solid experience as an IT / Solution Architect, ideally in retail or supply chain.
• Proven ability to guide teams through complex IT transformations.
• Experience translating business needs into architecture deliverables.
• Background in large or multinational environments is a plus.

Technical & Architectural Skills:

• Experience with EA frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
• Proficiency with modeling languages (ArchiMate, UML) and EA tools (e.g., BizzDesign).
• Strong expertise in Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Good understanding of network, virtualization, storage.
• Knowledge of microservices, API management, messaging, event-driven architectures.
• Experience integrating WMS / TMS / ERP / MMS systems.
• Strong foundation in data modeling, warehousing, governance, security.
• Experience in cybersecurity and security-by-design principles.
• Familiarity with Agile / SAFe delivery models.
• ITIL knowledge is a plus.
